I first made these embroidered and felted portraits as an experiment. It was a "what if I did this" moment that instantly filled me with giddiness. I knew that if these portraits made me this happy then they can bring at least that much joy to you as well! Custom portraits make wonderful gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, or simply because. They can also be created for parents, grandparents, spouses, kids, friends, pretty much anyone and everyone would love a portrait like this!
For an embroidered portrait, please purchase this listing. I will then message you asking about the details of your portrait and for a picture of the subject to use as a reference. NOTE: Photos taken at eye level and that are focused work best. During my creative process, I will give you 2 opportunities to request small changes. Although I do my best to create a perfect portrait, each piece contains my artistic style which makes it unique and special. There are a limited number of custom portraits I accept each month in order to keep quality high and my process un-rushed. I cannot wait to work with you and create your own custom portrait! DETAILS
➣ This is for a custom made, needle felted and embroidered portrait of 1 person.
➣ Custom pieces take approximately 2 weeks to be made and shipped.
➣ The piece is made with thread stitched onto a linen background, wool roving needle felted to create colorful accents, then stretched over a bamboo hoop.
➣ The hoop DIMENSION is 6" diameter.
➣ The colors in this portrait vary. The thread is black, the linen is a natural white, and the wool accents will be chosen by you.
PROCESS
➣ Purchase this listing (include an email address in the notes if you prefer that over Etsy messages).
➣ I will send you a message asking for details and a reference photo. The sooner you reply, the sooner I can get started!
➣ You will have 2 opportunities during the creative process to make adjustments to the portrait.
➣ Once the portrait is complete, it is carefully packaged and shipped to it’s final destination.
